[IRL]*sigh* Alright, some big news, for the worst. I've been diagnosed with trigger finger in three of my fingers; two on my right hand (drawing hand) and one on my left (don't ask me how it got there). This is a pretty serious hand injury involving the joints at the base of the fingers. :faint: A little blister-type thing develops and when my hand is horizontal (ei, when I go to sleep or type for a long time), it gets filled with liquid (yeah, there's water running around in your body constantly). The liquid makes the joint lock, making it impossible to open, without manually moving it with another hand. :nirvana:

I'm not sure if this is from my fencing, which explains the two fingers on my right hand, or something else. I'm unsure as to why my left hand would get a trigger finger as well as my right, because I don't do much to put pressure on my joints there. I'm continuing fencing ^^; -because it's an amazing sport that I would be lost without- but if it gets worse, I might have to stop.

My grandfather had trigger fingers so badly that he had to get an operation, but the doctor said that because I was young and healthy (yeah, his exact words were first "I've rarely seen a fourteen-a healthy fourteen- year old to have trigger finger) it would not be that severe. So, I'll keep everybody posted.

[dA]I cannot believe that I passed my 10,000 mark - though I don't measure artistic success by page views, I do think that passing 10,000 views is a marker of my integration into the deviantART community. :nod: I'm proud to have made it this far, and I wanted to thank all my friends, admirers, and those I admire here on dA.

Also, I've been really enthusiastic about dA Royale - we've got so many enthusiastic entrants, and the competition is going to be fierce for the 8 spots.

The due date will be Mid-Late February, for you contestants who would like to know, and we are waiting for more interest to start Zombie Royale - but don't worry, it will happen this round! :w00t:

Added note: I'mma scan my next 2 pages soon. I just can't wait any longer: had these F*ckers inked (and coloured in one case) and stitting on my desk for a couple of days now T^T

hey awesome. I am back. and just finished some delicious lo mein. hope your fingers get better. My family is into self-healing (dunno if it actually works...) but maybe try and tell your body to fix it, cause you're in control.
i will be coloring more fun stuff soon, and are you lining the comic panel page i gave you?

Hehe, perhaps that's why you always ignore it when bad things happen. :P

You need to: color her, color the journal header (i finished what we're going to remark about), send me the pictures from our day at the corn maze (please don't ignore that, it's really important for me to get them), tell me what purewhiteshadow said (Egriz is waiting on it, that's important, too!)

i always thought that I would most likely be stricken with carpal tunnel because of all the crap i put my hands through (NOT literally),
but so far I'm okay.... i think?

i'll pray that your fingers get better!

Yeah, I usually hunch over my computer in a terrible way both for my scoliosis-stricken spine(only a little, though, it's not serious) and my hands, and though I type very fast, I rest my palms on the keyboard, which apparently you aren't supposed to do.

:noes: That sucks so bad! I kinda feel your pain, my poor hand clamps up, too! But not with trigger finger, someting like wearing down the tnedon or wahtever. I dunno. But I know not being able to do what you want to and everyday things becoming a question of wearing out your hand is terrible. Good luck with this.
